Copy Your Vinyl

There are those who think that CD sounds better than vinyl, and then there those who know that the sound of vinyl has a warmth that digital music seems to lack. We have covered parts of this discussion in earlier Gadget Grill shows.

One of the disadvantages though, with vinyl, is that you cannot easily copy the music. Not that you are supposed to, of course, and we would never suggest that you should.

However, in the US, the host of the Science Channel’s Catch It Keep It, Mike Senese,, has posted some details explaining how a vinyl record is made. And he has included within that description some instructions on how you might like to make copies of records that you might own.

As we said earlier, we do not condone you making copies of your records but I think the technique and article is of interest nonetheless.

And please let us know if you try it.
