At Photokina this week, Hasselblad announced a new 50 Megapixel digital back for its V system cameras. Specially designed to work with Hasselblad cameras and lenses, the CFV-50 includes special optical correction features that are claimed to remove undesirable artifacts such as distortion, vignetting and chromatic aberrations.
Although at US$15K, this digital back is by no means cheap, chances are that you’re already using the Hasselblad system and as such, the cost of this is merely just that of another tool for your trade.
