Going online has never been more dangerous than now, but since you can’t really avoid it, it’s probably best to hear it from the professionals about how to go about protecting yourself. With all the people out there who will gladly take advantage of you, your identity, and that nice big wallet you’ve got stuffed in your back pocket or handbag, you’re going to need a way around it all.
So this week as the Australian government launched its E-Security Week complete with the Stay Smart Online website, we spoke to Symantec’s David Freer to find out some of the handy tips & information you can use to help keep yourself safe and not part of someone’s phishing net.
Plus, this week we took gadgets for a proper spin. While Leigh put the newest Google Android phone – the HTC Magic – through its paces, Gary dragged out Three’s Facebook phone – the INQ – to see if he could handle just how social network friendly it was.
We’ve packed this episode with so much news we literally had to stop ourselves from speaking plus some music (that you can sadly only hear samples of as they fade away) so grab the podcast now!
