Ashes to ashes,
Dust to dust,
It is with a great deal of sadness and fond memories that we put to its final resting place, that most wonderful of films, Kodachrome.
In ASA ratings from 25 and 64 and beyond (ISO doesn’t seem right for this film). last year Kodak announce the imminent demise of this film, and now it has come to pass.
Kodak used to have a processing lab in Melbourne, but that was closed about four years ago, and eventually, a couple of years ago, all processing passed to just the one lab, Dwayne’s Photo, in Kansas, and as of last week, there is no longer any Kodachrome processing there either.
RIP Kodachrome.
