In Britain, the Royal Male Mail has come up with a novel idea relating to those miniature works of art, postage stamps.
Rail Stamps
By the inclusion of a special code on the stamp, a user can scan the stamp using their Android or iOS powered phone, using the augmented reality app ‘Junaio’. This will then cause a short film of actor Bernard Cribbins reciting W. H. Auden’s ‘The Night Mail’ to be loaded loaded in an overlay onto the phone.
The stamps were released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the last steam engine running on the British Rail system, The Evening Star.
