Yet another tablet

But this one is … big.

Kno have announced that they’ll be marketing a tablet specifically targeted at the student market. Where devices like the Samsung Tab have a 7 inch screen, and the iPad is 10 inch, the Kno sports a massive 14 inch screen and weighs around 2.5 pounds. That’s significantly more than an iPad weighs.

The logic here is that students need more real estate, so that they can see their texts and make notes in the edges, and Kno are also working on a dual 14 inch touch screen device. The weight isn’t seen as a major drawback, especially when compared with the weight of the texts that it’s hoping to be replacing.

Running on a Nvidia Tegra processor, this device has a capacitive touchscreen, and will come with a stylus to write notes or draw on the device.
